Can a little piece of jewelry reflect the essence of who you are?

My answer is definitively YES and here’s my story.
Creating beautiful, elegant and empowering jewelry has always been a healing journey for me. But over the years I’ve learned that circumstances don’t determine who you are or who you can become.
After graduating from the Department of Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art in Athens, I drain my passion at the Laboratory of Archaeometry of NCSR “Demokritos” dating organic materials of archaeological origin using radiocarbon technique. Few years later, the Institute of Historical Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation won my heart.
Somewhere, along the way, when my beloved sister Valia, forced me to take some jewelry fabrication class, the seed was planted. I decided to study the art and the technique of handmade jewels at the Silversmithing and Jewelry Design Public School of Athens.
I lost my sister Valia from cancer. She didn’t even have the chance to see the outcome to this effort. I only hope she’s proud of me. The MeliVali is a tribute to her heritage, to her spirit of triumph in life. I am so much grateful to her! She filled up my life with full of colors!
So… would you like to fill your life with colors and happiness? Do you love to wear jewelry that no one owns, whatever material is? Do you have a strong sense of personal style and your friends are always asking about where you got something? Does your jewelry hold a sentimental value for you? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, you are in the right place.
I ‘m Melina Korozi and I live and work in the fascinating city of Athens, Greece. Come away with me and be inspired!
